Dallas – Boom Town
The May 1st issue of REALTORMag lists seven metro boom areas across the nation, and three are in Texas – Austin at #1; Dallas at #2 and Houston at #4. The article states, “Texas dominates the list of fastest-growing cities, attracting more residents with its strong employment center, lower taxes, and more affordable housing.” The writers of the article state that Dallas should have a five percent annual economic growth for the next six years, double that of the United States. Further, it states an annual population growth of 2.2 percent, indicating a net gain of over one million new residents for this decade in the Metroplex.
